You might wonder how some people get so engrossed in the world of books written by the author. You think they are so fortunate to easily shift their focus attentively to the books. Don't you? These sentences never came through my mind. My interest used to be in the visual (english) books like The Magic School Bus. There's no shame to admit it. Nah.
It all started when Twilight cover book caught my attention. That's when the journey began. To be honest, I prefer reading Malay books. So, there's up and down looking for good books. I get bored easily and shift to another. Thus, don't be deceived by what you see. I randomly pick books that are new to me. By means, new things to learn. Alhamdulillah, I found great books along the way. It excites me so much. Macam jakun gitu. It's not easy to read books till the last page. Since I'm so so so selective, I have problems sharing books I've read to people.
In this post, I decided to share my experiences to you who have been wondering here and there.
- I don't go straight into the bookstore. My instincts, instead, drives me to read The Twilight Saga. I just jump without thinking.
- I find books that interests me. For example, I categorised Human Rights & Religion books as my favourites in Non-Fiction category. (Get it? Get it?)
- If you still don't know where your interests lies, go pick some random books. Fret not if you start off with drama-mama books, or romantic or thriller or.......whatever. Just grab it. Period.
- "BORING." Head on to another book; don't stuck there.
- Last and foremost, don't follow the crowd and the trend if your preference differ from others.
To listed out everything is totally impossible because I can't remember all. So, here are some of my favourites:-
 |
| 1) Non-Fiction: It centres problems occuring in some Islamic countries. |
 |
| 2) Non-Fiction: It centres about Religion. |
 |
| 3) Non-Fiction: One of the hardest books I've read. Although I enjoyed it, I am considering to read it all over again until I completely understand the contents. |
 |
| 4) Fiction: I thoroughly enjoyed this book probably because it's Asians. Get it? |
 |
| 5) Fiction: By an Indonesian author. Apart from Hamka, Asma Nadia really brings out the characters well. Two women of different perspective about marriage. Yes, it's about marriage. |
 |
| 6) Fiction: An Urban one. A story of gender. Have a guess on it. Worth-reading. |
